Sunday Rest

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."

Isaiah 55:8-13

When I wonder why things are happening the way they are, I go here. I find this to be one of the most encouraging passages in scripture!

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Blessings,

Sommer

I'm sorry I have not been over to visit in a while. Homeschooling and keeping my own cottage have taken all my time. I am glad to hear your lil Liam is all well. His sweet smile in the pic below just warms the soul. He has a very sweet loveable spirit. You are blessed. As for the goal to declutter...bravo! I admire your courage to do it. A willing heart is pleasing to the LORD, remember that. It does matter. I grew up in a continually cluttered home and so I of course, am a neat freak!!! I enjoy keeping everything in its place. I don't function well in a mess. I have a habit of trying to make everything beautiful. So, I was trying to think of any tips I could give you...
1. don't be so hard on yourself!
2. A willing heart matters.
3. Remain in your Heavenly Father's embrace. He delights in you even in the mess!
4. Cleaning one area at a time will help you not to get too overwelmed.
5. When you feel overwelmed, take a break.
6. Try to throw things away. Living with less, helps keep a home clean, especially a small home.

I hope this helps.

Is. 55:8-13 really helps me today. Especially that His word does not return void, but accomplishes that which he pleases, and prospers in what he has sent it to do. I will hold that in my prayers this week for my son.
