Thoughts on Parenthood

I thought I'd share someone elses thoughts on parenthood. Surely you will agree that these words ring true....

"We never know the love of the parent till we become parents ourselves. When we first bend over the cradle of our own child, God throws back the temple door, and reveals to us the sacredness and mystery of a father's and a mother's love to ourselves."

Henry Ward Beecher

I really think this is so very true. As a child, I dreamed of one day being a mother. Of course I really had know idea the depth of love I would have for one child, let alone three. But the minute I looked upon my baby's precious face, love just flowed through me. And now that I have three sweet ones, I find that I have even more overflowing from my heart. I praise God that He blessed me with the opportunity to let the floodgates of mother love break free.

Blessings,

Sommer

Oh, that quote is so very true. I never realized how my parents felt about me until my daughter was born. It made me look at them in a whole new light. In fact, having a child puts so many things into a completely different perspective. It's amazing.

That quote is absolutely true. I finally understand much of what my parents did in raising me, now that I am a parent. And I also feel that love that you really don't know or understand until you become a parent.
It's the most wonderful feeling.
