Ever Faithful

There have been times recently that my faith has weakend. Times when I've wondered where God was and whether He was aware of my struggles. Surely, He must not see what we are struggling with, that we can't possibly go on this way!

Of course, when I regain my senses I always realize it is I that have been faithless. I am the one that is weak and running scared. If I would only stop trying to do it myself and lift up my worries to the Lord and leave them there...really leave them there. Perhaps then I would have seen Him there, standing always beside me. Never really letting me fall.

God is ever faithful! He has never yet let me down nor left my side. I've seen this at other times, yet when things get rough...again, I always get scared. I doubt Him and how ridiculous that is! Surely I ought to have learned my lesson by now!

"Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds."

Psalm 36:5

Let me share examples of His faithfulness...

A couple of weeks ago we were blessed with an unexpected "forgotten" birthday present. At the time we were feeling the discomfort of financial issues...and this was an amazing gift of needed funds. The Lord knew we needed this and graciously provided!

This weekend(as I mentioned earlier in the week)we were gifted a washer and dryer. Oh, heaven! This saves me time, money and sanity...again His provision.

And finally, my husband has been trying to get a better paying job. He has been working hard to provide for us, but we knew something had to change. Well, yesterday he got the call that he got the job he was looking into. He'll be starting Monday with training. We are so happy and so very excited.

Once again, the Lord has proven His faithfulness even when my faith has been rocky. I encourage those of you in the midst of trials and uncertainties to hold fast to the Lord. He will keep you and provide. He is ever faithful!

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed."

Psalm 37: 23-26

Blessings,

Sommer

Sommer dear! I'm so happy for you! How faithful and true our Father is. He does, after all, own the cattle on a thousand hills. And it seems He always knows just when to sell a cow!
