Sunday Rest

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

~Psalm 23

I love this Psalm. It is especially lovely to listen to Keith Green sing it...wonderful! I pray that you all have a very blessed Lord's Day!

Blessings,
Sommer

Amen! This is one of my favorite psalms. It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how anxious or worried or upset I may feel, the Word of God soothes my spirit and calms me so completely. Thanks for sharing this today!

The picture you have with this post, I have it handing in my bedroom.

My pastor's wife, who I am very close with, gave it to me years ago when I was going through my long illness.

Your post is touching and I loved reading it.

Thanks,
Pat

I love when Keith Green sings it too. Sadly, I only had it on cassette and it has since worn out.
