"Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ." ~Acts 5:41-42
I pray to be so bold in the face of mockery and persecution. As an American I do not suffer much for my faith, but there are times when it is good to stand firm...especially in these days. And who knows when a day may come that we are one of the persecuted. I pray not, but I pray too for the Lord's strength and grace if the time comes and also for those times when I am discoursing with someone that does not believe as I do.
Have a lovely Lord's Day!
Blessings,
Sommer

What a powerful and humbling passage of Scripture. "Rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor. . ." I pray that I too will be able to wholeheartedly rejoice if and when I am called to suffer for the sake of Christ. Thank God we still have a bit of freedom here to worship our Lord but I think the day is coming when it will be more difficult to openly do so and already is here in some places, like public schools, etc.
Hi Sommer, Can you please send me your email again so I can invite you to my blog...I've gone private.

PS had to share with you that the word verification for me is 'readmis' and I think it goes with your new header which I'm wondering is probably a reflection of your heart...to sit with all your children about you and read to them...read mis.
