Sounds like your McGuffeys might be either the Wiley or the Revised. Do you have the Beechick guide so that you could look to see if it would work?
If not then you can certainly use Beechicks book "Strong Start in Lang" to apply her principles or even the principles on the McGuffey guide for that matter. ;)
There also should still be files in the BB group on how to use Beechick Lessons.
